Carmeuse Beachville Operation is proud to announce its significant contribution to United Way Oxford's annual "Day of Caring." This event brought together volunteers from across the community, including a dedicated team from Carmeuse, to work on various service projects for organizations supported by United Way Oxford.
Amanda Kreiger, Resource Development Manager at United Way Oxford, shared her insights on the 'Day of Caring':
"This year marked the 18th annual Day of Caring initiative here in Oxford County, and what an incredibly impactful day it was. Over 100 volunteers came together to complete projects at 12 different local organizations across our community, helping create beautiful spaces for people who are accessing support at each of the programs. The team from Carmeuse worked hard on the flowerbeds and gardens at the Ingersoll 50+ Community Centre, creating a beautiful space for program participants to enjoy in the coming summer months! Your team really stepped up to help out and cannot thank you enough for the support."
The Carmeuse Beachville Operation team participated in a significant horticultural initiative at the Ingersoll Senior Centre, enhancing the lives of our neighbors through community service projects and simple acts of kindness. This contribution not only beautified the space but also supported United Way Oxford's local impact, demonstrating Carmeuse's commitment to community development and social responsibility.
Laura Tracy, Plant Generalist at Carmeuse Lime & Stone Inc. for their Beachville Operation, shares her perspective on the project.
“Volunteering for the United Way Day of Caring at the Ingersoll Services for Seniors Centre was an incredibly rewarding experience for our team. We spent the day beautifying the grounds and making the building a more welcoming place for the seniors of Ingersoll to spend their recreational time. It was amazing to see the immediate impact of our efforts! This experience strengthened our team bonds and highlighted how Carmeuse gives back to the local community. Knowing we made a positive difference through our participation in this event is truly fulfilling.”
Carmeuse invites the community to continue this spirit of giving by participating in future volunteer opportunities and supporting the ongoing efforts of United Way Oxford. Together, we can make a lasting difference. For more information on how to get involved, please visit United Way Oxford's website.
