PCC and Pulp & Paper

Lime products are widely used in paper production. Large quantities of precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) are needed to maximize paper’s whiteness, opacity and consistency. Carmeuse quicklime can be used to regenerate the caustic soda from pulp-making, serve as a bleaching agent for pulp, and treat the residual water produced during pulp production.
