Each reagent has unique chemical and physical properties that must be taken into account when designing and building a handling system. Carmeuse Systems is well-equipped to provide the knowledge and experience necessary to the handling of these reagents is done safely and efficiently.
Benefits:
- Expertise in both the raw material being utilized and the system components needed to effectively handle and store each reagent
- Experience in all steps of the process from designing the system to commissioning
- A highly-qualified team with over 50 years of experience
Our Process
Carmeuse Systems works closely with customers to understand the reagent being used and its unique properties that need to be considered when conveying, storing, or slaking. Our technical experts will build a new system or retrofit an existing system to ensure that it is uniquely built to effectively handle each reagent.
When you work with Carmeuse Systems, our team of applications experts will be brought in early on in the process to understand the exact specifications of your unique application and will make recommendations. We will work closely with you through each step of the process and use our unique understanding of both the properties of the reagent itself and systems engineering to create a solution that works best for you.
Product (Uses)
Fly Ash
Fly ash, a byproduct of coal combustion and predominantly used in flue gas treatment is hydrated lime that has already gone through the desulfurization process but has some reactivity remaining.
Soda Ash
Soda Ash, or sodium carbonate, is used predominantly in the production of glass, but can also be used in various other applications such as paper production and in consumer goods.
Magnesium Oxide
Magnesium oxide, a versatile mineral, is a fine, white powder that can be used in many different industries from drinking water treatment to steel making.
