Carmeuse Dundas fundraises for local food bank

Flamborough Food Bank in Carlisle, ON, received a $1,485 donation from Carmeuse Dundas Operation, after staff held a cash drive and Carmeuse matched employee contributions. The food bank supports almost 350 local families, distributing 57 tons of food each year. This includes more than 160 families who receive a seasonal hamper at this time of year. 

The Carmeuse donation will also be matched by the G Foundation, who are partnering with the Flamborough Food Bank to match all donations received in December.

Sylvia Alvarez, Human Resource at the Carmeuse Dundas Operation, and who led the initiative expressed her gratitude, “Thanks to everyone’s generosity, Carmeuse for doubling donations, and the G Foundation for matching funds, a total of $2970 will be received by the food bank.”
