Carmeuse Erie Dock promotes manufacturing careers at MFG Day Showcase 2023
This year marked the 10th anniversary of the MFG Day Showcase at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, PA. Held on October 11th and organized by the Manufacturer & Business Association (MBA), the event aims to highlight the range of high-paying, high-tech careers available in the modern manufacturing sector.
Carmeuse Erie Dock Operation participated in the day as an exhibitor, joined by local Caterpillar dealer, Cleveland Brothers. The booth featured a CAT simulator, allowing students to experience what it’s like to operate the heavy equipment used on a day-to-day basis at Carmeuse, as well as a CAT 980 Loader.
“The MGG Day Showcase is a great opportunity for us to meet with local students and educators, and to promote the diverse opportunities available in today’s manufacturing industry,” said Tina Elder of Carmeuse Erie Docks. “A big thank you to all who visited the Carmeuse stand, and to Cleveland Brothers for providing an up-close encounter with a real-life CAT Loader!”
