Carmeuse gets into the holiday spirit to support annual Turkey Dash

The Judi Lively Memorial Turkey Dash this past November wrapped up the 2022 Huron 5K Series in traditional holiday style. Held on Thanksgiving morning, the annual event raises funds for scholarships for Huron High School students entering college with business majors.

The Huron 5K Series is sponsored by the Carmeuse Huron Operation, which provides bottled water and snacks to participants of all races. Huron Site Coordinator Christine Mollison also competed in all five of this year’s races, completing the Turkey Dash in a time of 50:16.

Judi Lively was a well-known banker in Huron and her family keeps her memory alive with the annual race.  Many of the Lively family members expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Christine for Carmeuse's continued support of the Judi Lively Memorial Turkey Dash 5K.

A total of 411 racers completed the race, ranging in age from 6 to 70. Daniel Bullard, 30, finished fastest of the men in a time of 17:07.1. 16-year-old Kennedy Schlessman led the women home in a time of 18:52.4.
