Carmeuse Huron sponsors annual school cross country event

This year’s Huron High School Cross Country Invitational ran on October 8th at the Bowling Green State University Firelands campus, Huron, OH.  Carmeuse Huron Operation continued its sponsorship of the event, providing bottled water for participants.

The weather was perfect for the event, sunny and cool and almost 200 racers competed at the middle school and high school levels. Bill Scott, invite coordinator, thanked Carmeuse for its continued support of the Huron High School Cross Country Team. 

Carmeuse Huron is a committed supporter of local athletics events. In additional to the high school invitational, the operation also sponsors the Huron 5K Series of five races. The fourth race of the season—the Halloween-themed St. Peter School Spooktacular 5K & Fun Run—will take place on October 29th to raise money for St. Peter School.
