The Carmeuse Macon Operation continues the company’s foundation support of Big Brothers Big Sisters
The Big Brothers Big Sisters, BBBS, organization has received support from the Carmeuse foundation throughout eastern U.S. This extended into the locale of Macon, Georgia as the Carmeuse plant operating in that region continued its support.
The BBBS, the Heart of Georgia, serves 15 counties and has 100 volunteers that mentor school aged children, resulting in better school attendance, better grades, and better peer relations. While doing so, they have fun and they are able to build much needed trust through their relationships with mentors of BBBS who ultimately have a positive impact on their future.
