Carmeuse Portage reaches out to the next generation at high school career fair
The team at the Carmeuse Portage Operation, Indiana, recently had the chance to meet with local high school students at the Portage High School Career and College Fair. Taking place on October 4th, the event allowed juniors and seniors to meet and talk with representatives from local colleges, universities, trades programs, and military recruiters.
“It was a great opportunity to meet with students and parents as they were exploring different opportunities for their futures,” said Letha Carriger of Carmeuse Portage, who hosted the Carmeuse booth with her colleagues, Belinda Speer and Ian Fahrenkrog. “We were able to educate the students about our industry and tell them about all of the outstanding opportunities at our company—both with and without a college degree.”
