Dundas brings wishes to life this Christmas
Christmas is a season of wishes. Making those wishes come true—well, that’s not always easy. Especially for the many disadvantaged families in our communities.
In Canada, one-in-five children are growing up in poverty, according to CityKidz, whose big wish is to see a world beyond child poverty. As part of that vision, each year the charity ensures the children it works with receive at least one Christmas gift. For the past few years, the Carmeuse Dundas Operation has supported this work, donating items to the Gift of Christmas campaign, as well as volunteering to help wrap the gifts. This year, the donations included decorative blankets, string lights, wireless speakers and earphones.
“We’re proud to once again support CityKidz and the wonderful work they do among the disadvantaged kids in our local community,” said Kerry Moffat and Sylvia Alvarez of Carmeuse Dundas, who both coordinate the donation. “It’s a privilege to help make wishes come true this Christmas season.”
