Dundas provides no ‘tricks’ but all ‘treats’ to local youth center.

Dundas provides no ‘tricks’ but all ‘treats’ to local youth center.

Halloween has become a time of community togetherness around the sweet taste of candy. But depending on circumstances, not all can enjoy such treats at this festive time of the year without the help of others.

The employees at Dundas recognize this and have donated Halloween treats and a projection screen for movie night at the Routes Youth Centre in Ontario.
Philip Lowry, Board Chair of Routes Youth Centre and Dundas resident reached out to Carmeuse asking for their support. Dundas employees responded positively to the request, and Amanda Thomassian, Centre Director and Katherine Roy, Program Manager are very excited and appreciative of the new partnership with Carmeuse and our interest in supporting the Centre’s Youth.

Sylvia Alvarez, Human Resources at Dundas offered insight on the part of the employees, “We look forward to the many activities we can support, including the sponsorship of their holiday dinner party, providing a projection screen for their movie nights, various items on their wish list, and a future educational trip to the Dundas Plant for youth to learn more about the trades. We look forward to a long-standing partnership with Routes!"
