Go Sabres! Carmeuse Dundas Sponsors Local Youth Hockey

The Flamborough Sabres U15 AA hockey team will be taking to the ice next season supported by the Carmeuse Dundas Operation, which is joining as silver sponsor for the 2023-24 fixtures.  

“The sponsorship will play a major role in enriching the quality and development of the team. It will also allow the team to focus on the fun, fitness, and friendship of playing hockey,” said Sylvia Alvarez, Human Resources--Carmeuse Dundas.  

Involvement in team sports help to keep children fit and healthy and comes with a wide range of additional benefits. It teaches players how to work together and respect each other and their coaches as part of a team. It supports mental wellbeing and provides an invaluable support network for players who may not otherwise have one. As a life lesson, it teaches players how to deal with frustration when decisions and results don’t always go their way. 

“The value of team sports for young people in our community is huge and we are excited to have this opportunity to contribute to its development and support the Flamborough Hockey Association in its mission to build character through sport,” continued Alvarez.
