Longview Contributes to Keeping a Local Road Clean

Nothing provides an enjoyable ride like a clean roadway. Carmeuse employees know and respect this. 

On May 11th, a team of Longview employees cleaned up a 1 mile stretch on Highway 31 between Country Road 87 and Merry Fox Road. This well-traveled road by the local community borders the outside of the Longview quarry. 

Given its proximity to the Carmeuse operation, 19 employees volunteered for 2 hours to fill 26 bags of trash resulting in cleaner and safer conditions for those traveling this stretch of road.

Sybil Owens, Human Resources at Carmeuse, expressed her gratitude to her fellow coworkers, “Thank you to everyone who participated!”
