Carmeuse and Helena Hollow will again bring the party to the farm in aid of Big Brothers Big Sisters

Carmeuse and Helena Hollow will again bring the party to the farm in aid of Big Brothers Big Sisters

Helena Hollow’s Big Night on the Farm is an extravaganza of live music, food, farm animals, games and more—all in benefit of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Shelby County, AL.

“Last year was the first event and, despite a pandemic, we had a good turnout. This year, we hope to double the attendance,” said Brook McKinley, BBBS Development & Mentoring Coordinator.

Carmeuse was a Chicken Coop Sponsor of last year’s inaugural event with volunteers from the local Longview Operation also helping out during set up (as well as enjoying the festivities!). This year, June 18th, the company is raising its support as the Sponsoring Donor of the event. Sybil Owens, Human Resources Generalist at the Longview Operation, also sits on the organization’s Advisory Board.

“We are proud to sponsor this year’s event and support BBBS of Shelby County in their efforts to ensure that all children reach their full potential through their mentorship programs,” said Sybil. “We have fine-tuned some things about the event. For example, we have reduced the ticket price to $25 for an individual ticket and $80 for a family bundle. We have also reserved tickets for our Bigs & Littles at this year's event. We hope this will allow our supporters to get a better knowledge of the kids in our programs, their needs and interest."

Big Brothers Big Sisters is America’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, providing children from ages 5 through to young adulthood with the nurture and support of an adult mentor.

Through its foundation, Carmeuse has a long-running relationship with local BBBS chapters across North America, providing support for their work in the communities around all of the company’s operations.
