Carmeuse Beachville employees ‘tee off’ to raise funds for local hospice

Carmeuse Beachville employees ‘tee off’ to raise funds for local hospice

This June, the Carmeuse Beachville annual golf tournament raised $710.00 for the Sakura House residential hospice. Employee donations of $355.00 were matched dollar-for dollar by the Beachville Operation, which is located in Ingersoll, Ontario.

“Sakura House was selected by our employees, and we were proud to make a donation to an organization that provides such a vital service in our community,” said Beachville’s Marnie Lance.

Sakura House aims to provide the feel and comfort of a home for patients in the twilight of their lives. Specialized palliative care is provided 24/7 by the experienced team of physicians, nurses, and personal care and social workers.

The hospice is part of VON Canada, a charitable organization founded in 1897 to provide nursing services in areas without existing medical provision. Today, VON Canada continues in this mission, delivering home and community care services through more than 52 local sites.
