Carmeuse encourages Kentucky elementary students to engage in education
Two Carmeuse operations in Kentucky recently joined local elementary students to talk about limestone production and mine rescue procedures used in the industry.
Employees of the Carmeuse Maysville and Black River Operations took part in the Lewis County Central Elementary School Summer Sensation program, that is designed to engage students in activities that promote education.
The Carmeuse presentation included a range of practical demonstrations, including and introduction to mine rescue techniques from the expert rescue teams at the two sites.
