Carmeuse Huron sponsors annual pumpkin extravaganza

It’s pumpkin season! Which can only mean the return of the Huron Pumpkin Festival at the Huron Boat Basin.

The annual event features fun for the entire family. Food, games, pumpkin painting – and of course the pumpkin-smashing-spectacular, Barnes Nursery Pumpkin Drop.

Organized by the Huron Parks & Recreation Department, this year’s festival took place on 9th October. The Carmeuse Huron Operation was happy to help sponsor the seasonal celebration of all things pumpkin.

“We appreciate the ongoing support of our events and community programs!” the Huron Parks and Recreation Department said.

The Huron Pumpkin Festival is not the only pumpkin-themed event to be supported by the Huron Operation. The Carmeuse plant will also support the St. Peter School Spooktacular 5K & Kids Pumpkin Fun Run on 30th October, as part of its sponsorship of the Huron 5K Series of races.
