Carmeuse Impacts the Portage Community in Many Ways During the Holiday Season

Employees from the Carmeuse Portage operation help to support the local community in numerous ways throughout the year and especially during the holiday season. Through a corporate foundation sponsorship with the Portage, IN YMCA, Carmeuse donated money to assist families, children and many of the programs at the YMCA. A check was presented to Portage YMCA CEO and President Shannon Burhans and Marketing and Program Director Erin Robles. Carmeuse has supported the Portage YMCA since 2013.

Carmeuse also donates money to the Portage Township Food Pantry. This year, the company donated $1,000 to support their efforts to provide food and supplies to support families. The check was given to Joe Kasper, president of the food pantry.

Portage employees also donated gifts to a number of children as part of the Portage Trustee’s Office Angel Tree program. Through this program, employees bought presents after reviewing gift lists from the children.
