Carmeuse Longview provides essential supplies to Alabaster School District
Carmeuse is a committed advocate of local education and training initiatives. Take our Longview Operation in Alabama. As perennial supporters of their local schools, for the past three years Longview employees have donated much-needed supplies to schools in the Saginaw region.
This year was no exception with Longview employees collecting supplies on behalf of the Alabaster City School District. The Longview Operation itself also supplemented employee contributions with an additional donation. “Our team members’ contribution to our community is always so amazing,” said Longview’s Sybil Owens. “A big thanks to Tonya Tolbert for coordinating the supply drive.”
Just 17 miles south from the state capital, Birmingham, Alabaster is one of the state’s fastest-growing cities. Its school district serves almost 6,200 students across two elementary schools, an intermediate school, middle school, and high school.
Pictured in the photograph from left-to-right with the donated supplies are Carmeuse employees, Dawn Haden, Jody Barber and Tonya Tolbert.
