Carmeuse Port Inland celebrates Taco Twosday in support of local animal shelter

Carmeuse Port Inland celebrates Taco Twosday in support of local animal shelter

Good things might usually come in threes. But on February 22, 2022 it was all about the twos. And the tacos.

Palindrome dates—or dates that read the same backwards as forwards—are fairly common. What made February 22, 2022 more interesting, however, was its status as a ubiquitous palindrome.

It was also a Tuesday—or Twosday as it quickly become known—and also fell on the traditional weekday for enjoying Mexican food.

Carmeuse Port Inland Operation celebrated this auspicious date with a special Taco Twosday event in aid of the local Eva Burrell Animal Shelter in Manistique, MI. “Employees were encouraged to bring in donations for the shelter. In addition, the company made a financial contribution to the organization,” said Shena Meffer, administrative assistant at Port Inland.
