Carmeuse Port Inland donates safety gloves to local high school trade programs

Employees at the Carmeuse Port Inland Operation, Michigan, showed their generosity and support for local welding students at Manistique High School, donating two boxes of safety gloves for the students to use in their welding, building trades and automotive classes.

“We were removing gloves from inventory and gave employees the opportunity to take a pair of gloves home, but instead they requested that the gloves be donated to the local students,” said Patrick Lamb, Port Inland Site Operations Manager.

The gloves follows a recent gift of funding to two Manistique High School students, who qualified for the state-wide Michigan SkillsUSA Competition, after taking first place in the welding category at the local competition in February.
