Carmeuse team members volunteer for service at local Pittsburgh charity
Employees from Carmeuse Americas Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA, recently volunteered for a day of service with local charity, Urban Impact. The team of ten performed clean-up and landscaping work at Urban Impact’s St. Matthew location. Tasks included clearing trash and tidying up the area around the church building, parking lot and parsonage, as well as pruning and pulling weeds, mulching, and pressure washing and painting a wall.
The charity expressed their appreciation for the volunteers' efforts in a Facebook post: “A big shout out to Carmeuse Americas for doing a service project at Urban Impact’s St. Matthew location. The team enhanced the exterior of the facility by painting, landscaping and cleaning up. Thank you for your many years of support for our ministry!”
Urban Impact is a community development organization based in the North Side of Pittsburgh. It provides support for and investment in the lives of at-risk children, youth and their families, through a range of athletics, performing arts, education and post-secondary transition programs.
