Chamber of Commerce praises Carmeuse Chatsworth’s support for local community
The Murray County Chamber of Commerce in Chatsworth, GA, wants businesses to fall in love with their community. That was the topic of guest speaker and executive leadership coach, Pamela Mumm, at the chamber’s Annual Meeting and Membership Awards Luncheon, held on 25 August.
It’s a message the Carmeuse Chatsworth Operation, a member and sponsor of the Murray County Chamber of Commerce, agree with. Indeed, the company was praised at the luncheon by chamber CEO and President, Eli Falls, as a dependable and trustworthy supporter of its local community.
“We are always eager to help and were proud to be recognized as an important pillar of the community,” said Sharon Fetzer, Site Coordinator at Carmeuse Chatsworth, who attended the luncheon alongside colleagues Jake Carnes, Shae Garland and Kenney Alderman.
That community-mindedness was in evidence earlier this year as Chatsworth employees took to the road to help clean-up a stretch of Georgia state highway 52, picking litter, mowing berms, cleaning storm drains and washing the roads and bridges. The company also sponsors the Keep Chatsworth-Murray Beautiful campaign to make the community a better, safer place to live.
