Chatsworth employees continue to show their big heart for veterans
The Carmeuse Chatsworth Operation, GA, reached out and showed its big heart and appreciation for veterans at two recent community events.
In November, the company supported the City of Chatsworth’s annual Veterans Day Parade. Chatsworth employees went out and showed their respect for those brave heroes who fought for our freedom. During the parade, they also gave out flags and candy to the community.
The military theme has continued into this year’s holiday season. As part of the city’s annual lighting of the Christmas tree, Carmeuse purchased a tree and decorated it in military colors to go along with the company’s float in the community Christmas parade.
Chatsworth’s involvement in the Veterans Day parade and Christmas festivities followed the erection of a new flag pole at the plant in October, a previous token of the staff’s appreciation for the more than 18 million veterans currently living in the US.
