Encouraging the next generation to think Carmeuse
Finding the next generation of team members is essential to ensuring the future of any company.
At Carmeuse we take this seriously, regularly supporting local schools and youth outreach programs. So, when the Carmeuse Chatsworth Operation was offered the opportunity to attend a careers day at North Murray High School, the team jumped at the chance. The day was organized by the Chatsworth Chamber of Commerce for students graduating this May. During the event, Chris Rich, a Supervisor at Chatsworth, presented to students about the local operations of Carmeuse in the area. Chris was followed by our Area Operations Manager, Joey Weaver, who talked about Carmeuse as a company.
“The event was a great success and a lot of the students were very interested in our line of work,” said Chatsworth’s Shae Garland. “We also gave out snack bags to the students with some Carmeuse pencils and notepads."
The Chatsworth Operation was also pleased to support the Murray County High School Spring Gala, which raised about $100,000 for the local school’s system.
