Grand River foursome step up to the tee in aid of local youth mentoring

Four Carmeuse Grand River employees recently participated in the 41st Charity Golf Classic at the Stone Water Golf Club in Highland Heights, Ohio, in aid of Torchlight the Youth Mentoring Alliance.

The annual golf tournament raises funds to support Torchlight in its mission to empower local young people through mentoring and educational programs. Taking part from Carmeuse were Brian Horvath-Site Operation Manager, Steve Pounds-Production Supervisor, George McCloskey-Maintenance Team Leader, and Dwayne Knee-Warehouse Coordinator.

“Torchlight is our Carmeuse Foundation Partner, and we have so much respect for the work they do among our local young people. We are privileged to support the Torchlight team regularly in their fundraising efforts. And when it involves playing a round of golf—well that’s icing on the cake!” said Horvath.
