Grand River Plants Trees to Celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day

During the month of April, our Grand River operation celebrated Earth Day and Arbor Day by planting crab apple and honey crisp apple trees on the site property. The trees were planted by Dwayne Knee and Derrick Swindol of Carmeuse Grand River. 

While the trees commemorated both Earth Day and Arbor Day, they also contributed to the operation’s honeybee project which collaborates with a local beekeeper. 

“It’s great to be able to enhance our property and to celebrate the environment while also supporting our site’s honeybee project,” said Brian Horvath of Grand River.
