A local nursing home in Tennessee receives a donation of snacks from Luttrell employees
It’s always better to have too much food, than not enough. But what do you do with the leftovers? It was a welcomed problem facing the Carmeuse Luttrell Operation after the annual refresher training for its staff.
As Luttrell’s Kristin Zimmer explained, “we had bought snacks for all employees attending the training, but had a lot left over! Seeing this, one of our employees, Jason Muncey, came to ask us about a donation to the local Willow Ridge Nursing Home, where his wife, Amanda, works. We thought it was a great idea and were happy to give the surplus snacks away to such a good cause.”
The Willow Ridge Nursing Home provides residence for the elderly, with a strong focus on privacy, dignity and individualize care. The staff at Willow Ridge were very excited to receive the leftover snacks and said the residents would be delighted.
“Our employees are always thinking about ways to help out and give back to the community. We take pride in knowing we have such kind-hearted employees who go out of their way to help others in need,” concluded Kristin.
