Maple Grove Donates to Several Local Organizations

On April 28, our Maple Grove operation made several donations to local organizations— students in an afterschool program, the Boy Scouts, local emergency management associations and an assisted living facility— to support the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We contacted each organization to determine how we could help, and we made arrangements to safely distribute the donations,” said Paula Heckel of Maple Grove.

The site contacted GLCAP Children's Afterschool Program to determine the needs of students learning remotely from home. School supplies were then purchased and delivered to the program’s supervisors, who then distributed the supplies safely to students.

In support of Friends of Scouting, and annual giving campaign for Boy Scouts of America, the Maple Grove operation made a monetary donation to local Boy Scouts of Erie Shores Council #416.

Buckets of hand sanitizer were donated to Sandusky and Seneca County emergency management associations to help protect local first responders while they continue to serve during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meals purchased from local small business Anjulinas Catering and Banquet Hall were donated to Rutherford House, a local assisted living facility. This donation supported Anjulinas, while also providing meals to residents and staff during this time of social distancing.

“We wanted to provide meals for residents and staff at the Rutherford House, while also supporting a local small business during this difficult time,” said Heckel. “Our employees were very appreciative of the meals.”
