Three Carmeuse Locations Celebrate Earth Day by Planting Trees

Employees at Carmeuse’s Buffington Operation, Indiana, Grand River Operation, Ohio and River Rouge Operation, Michigan celebrated Earth Day by planting a variety of trees.

Buffington employees planted 50 trees, using red sunset and October glory maple trees. At Grand River, employees planted a sweet black cherry tree. River Rouge employees planted 48 trees at their facility.

One mature tree can absorb as much as 48 lbs. of CO2 per year. So, Carmeuse employees had a fun day and are proud to know they will be making an environmental impact in the years to come while also beautifying their facilities.
