This June, Carmeuse's Winchester operation donated new rails and labor to help the Stonewall District Ruritan Club update its barbeque pit. Carmeuse’s Kevin Sutherly, Douglas Alkire and Travis Plaugher installed the new rails and finished the concrete that was provided by Titan America, a local Ready-mix concrete supplier.
The Stonewall District Ruritan Club was founded in Clear Brook, VA in 1953 with a mission of promoting fellowship, goodwill and community service. The BBQ pit is used by the Ruritan Club to host community meetings, outdoor events and monthly meetings.
“We were happy to help our neighbors at the Stonewall District Ruritan Club with this project,” said Kevin Sutherly, Maintenance Supervisor. “We hope the improved BBQ pit will serve as a gathering place for community group meetings and events.”
