Winchester Operation Landscapes Local Elementary School
On August 28, nearly 25 employees from Carmeuse’s Winchester operation spent the day landscaping neighboring Stonewall Elementary School. The site donated over 40 pallets of landscaping stone, 10 yards of mulch, and a variety of plants and shrubs for the transformation.
Using limestone from the local quarry, employees beautified the school’s campus creating a decorative stone border to complement the school’s name. This successful partnership is part of the site’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the local community.
"Working with partners, like the volunteers from the Carmeuse Americas – Winchester Operation, who donated their time, energy and resources to support our school is always an uplifting reminder of how important the relationships between schools and businesses are to the fabric of our community,” said Mark Weisbrod, Stonewall Elementary School Principal. “We were thankful to be the benefactor of their efforts. They have certainly added to the overall pride we take in our school.”
