Features
- Hemp is an agricultural crop with high yields that absorbs carbon during its fast-growing process. More than 30% of the dry weight of hemp is carbon.
- Hempcrete is a mixture of hemp, hydrated lime, eventually some natural pozzolans, and water.
- Hempcrete is a promising sustainable building material. It is a green alternative to other masonry solutions. It is processed by on-site mixing or supplied as precast hemp blocks.

Dedicated solutions for your specific needs
Hemp absorbs carbon dioxide as the plant grows. So, the use of hemp and lime in the construction stage helps to reduce buildings’ carbon footprint and can result in a negative footprint for the entire construction. Hemp-building results in low-energy houses because hemp can absorb and hold heat (thermal mass) during sunny periods, when heat is not needed for internal living or workspaces. That heat is released when required, such as during overcast periods or at night, to provide substantial energy and cost savings.
