More Information
Hydrate has been used for centuries as a basic ingredient in masonry mortars and is still used in historical and contemporary applications. Mortars made from lime and cement exhibit excellent workability balanced by adequate compressive strength combined with high flexural strength, low water permeability and excellent bond strength.
Studies have compared the performance of cement-lime mortars with masonry cement mortars. Cement-lime mortars have shown higher bond and shear strength and lower water leakage.
