More Information
It is recommended to store the bags on pallets with sufficient space for air flow and leave them for 3 to 4 months. After use, FRUITCAL® bags can be opened and used to improve the soil around trees as a conventional soil amendment.
Stored fruits and vegetables excrete ethylene, a ripening substance that can cause faster spoilage. Apples, pears, peaches, nectarines and tomatoes are examples of fruits that release large amounts of ethylene. We call them “climacteric fruits”.
Very easy. For example, FRUITCAL® bags are simply placed around apple boxes to capture ambient CO2 and protect the fruit.
