Carmeuse Oman, in collaboration with Junior Achievement and University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Salalah recently organized a "Challenge Camp": a great way to educate students, dividing them into competing groups through recreational workshops.
7 volunteers from Carmeuse worked with 100 university students to solve a series of proposed technical problems. The students were mixed in teams of 5, each having to study and discover what caused each proposed technical failure and explain why.
After two hours of teamwork, two team representatives presented their case in front of the jury, composed of Carmeuse and University staff members. They were rated on their presentation, oral skills and technical solutions. The goal was to give them a taste of real technical failures and develop their creative ideas while working under pressure.
The university appreciated this challenge as it had never been done before. And Carmeuse Oman enjoyed it so much that they plan to do another event in a few months! Congratulations!
