What makes this more impressive is that the EcoVadis metrics increased in 2020, as EcoVadis expects companies to continue to improve.
This rating is important to Carmeuse, because EcoVadis is an internationally recognized agency that rates companies’ sustainability efforts in four key areas:

> Sustainable Procurement
As the world progresses, more and more customers are requesting the evaluation of the sustainability of their suppliers to an independent rating agency (e.g. EcoVadis). A strong EcoVadis score also enhances our reputation with other stakeholders such as regulators and local communities, NGOs, suppliers and lenders.
